- Does the insurance company warranty the repair?
No. Any warranty on the repairs will come from the repair shop and not the insurance company
- Do I have to get three estimates?
No. Many years ago insurance companies required multiple estimates but that is not the case anymore.
- Can I choose the body shop that I want?
Yes! You may take your vehicle where ever you want. Be sure to check out “Choosing the Right Body Shop” for tips and things to look for in a repair facility.
- Will all estimates be the same?
No. Repair estimates will vary. A low estimate may not include necessary things such as, front end or wheel alignments, re aiming your headlamps, etc.
- Does the insurance company pay for the repair?
No. The vehicle is being repaired for you, the owner. You will be required to pay for the repairs upon completion; it will up to you to secure payment from your insurance company along with the necessary endorsement from the lien holders. But don’t worry, we will be right beside you all the way. We work closely with you to minimize your inconvenience and guide you through this process.
- Should I only use O.E.M parts?
Each car is different, as a general rule insurance companies like using OEM parts because they tend to fit better and make for a happier customer, especially when it comes to sheet metal. There are however other factors that should, and are considered. Factors like the age of the vehicle, the severity of the damage and the specific part in question, all can influence the best part to use. Work with your body shop consultant to determine if non OEM parts are appropriate.
- How long will the repair take?
Your estimator/advisor will present you with the estimated time it should take. However, in collision repair there are many variables which make it extremely difficult to give you an exact time until we know for sure we have eliminated all concerns and damage. Our primary job is to protect your interest at all times while working cooperatively with all insurance companies involved. Rule of thumb, if your vehicle is drivable, we are confident that we can deliver the vehicle within 3 to 5 business days on most repairs.
- What is a direct repair facility?
A direct repair facility is a body shop that works directly with your insurance company as their preferred repair facility. To be preferred, body shops have to adhere to a high level of customer satisfaction, as well as maintaining a highly trained and certified technical and management staff. They also have to have the latest in equipment and technology. A direct repair facility is authorized to write the estimate and perform the repairs without having to wait for an insurance representative to review and deliver the vehicle back to you. Insurance companies monitor their DRP relationships to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Will the parts be ordered prior to me dropping my car off?
Yes. We will order the parts immediately after preparing the estimate and receiving approvals for repairs. Once the parts are received set up an appointment at that time for you to bring your vehicle in for repairs.
- If my vehicles frame is damaged, is my vehicle a total loss?
No. A vehicle is a total loss when the cost of the repairs exceeds the value of that vehicle.
- Can you match my cars paint color?
The factory finish on your vehicle consists of multiple layers of highly specialized paint products. Arrow Body Shop has made a tremendous investment in the latest paint matching technology available to our industry. We also have invested in computerized color match systems that allow us to maximize our performance in color matching.
- Can I get a ride home when I drop off my car?
Yes. Please tell your estimator at the time we set your appointment to bring your vehicle in for repairs that you will need a ride home. We have a shuttle car that leaves the dealership at approximately 7:30 to 7:45, and runs throughout the day.
- How can I get a rental car?
Arrow believes in service and has its own rental car department in the Ford service area. Ask your estimator to coordinate your rental or have your insurance company coordinate it directly with Arrow Rent Car. This will save you a lot of time when you drop off your repairs.
- How will I know that my vehicle is ready for pick up?
We stay in touch. Let your estimator/advisor know how you would like to be notified. We contact you by phone or email. Your estimator has an email address that you can use. Please give us your email address and we can update you via-email and also let you know when your vehicle will be ready.
- Is there a warranty on the repairs to my vehicle?
Yes. Arrow Body Shop gives all of our customers a Lifetime Repair Guarantee for as long as they own the vehicle.
- Do I have to pay my deductible?
Yes. That is an agreement you have with your insurance company and the policy you choose.
- To whom do I pay the deductible?
You will need to pay your deductible to Arrow Body Shop when you pick up your vehicle after the repairs are complete.
- What forms of payment do we accept?
Cash, Approved Checks, Money Orders, MasterCard, Visa and American Express
- What are appearance allowances?
For example if you had a wheel that incurred a small scrape and is part of the accident claim, the insurance company may elect to offer you a certain amount of money to live with the scrape that you could use towards your deductible. The thought process behind it is you probably have scrapes on one, two or all three of your other wheels. If it is not a safety issue, an appearance allowance can be used with some insurance companies.
- Can I wash my vehicle?
During the first 90 days wash the vehicle by hand with cool water and a very mild car wash solution using a soft cloth or sponge. Always use clean, fresh water. Wash your vehicle in the shade. Do not use wax or polish on your vehicle. This will allow the new finish to completely cure. Avoid parking under trees and utility lines which may attract birds. Do not scrape ice or snow off your new finish. In the event something gets on your finish and you cannot remove it, come by and see us and we will assist you.
