  2. Set an appointment for a free appraisal
  3. Complete the Trade-In Evaluation Form for virtual appraisal

What is Our Appraisal Process?

1 st. We use NADA’s official used car guide to determine the base value of your trade in. This along with other guides gives our appraisers a benchmark or a national value for makes and models like your vehicle.

2 nd. Our appraisers add or subtract from this value for equipment and options. For example; not having air conditioning deducts from the value, while having a custom set of wheels adds to the value. Mileage is also considered and can have a positive or negative effect.

3 rd. The appraiser will then walk around the vehicle and inspect the body, engine, tire, wheels, glass and other exterior features for damage.

4 th. The appraiser will drive the vehicle to insure that all systems are in good working order.

5 th. After the walk around and evaluation drive the appraiser will adjust for any reconditioning or safety expenses that must complete before being able to sell it to a customer. Reconditioning expenses include:

  • Tires
  • Brakes
  • Tune-ups
  • Hoses, belts, filters and flushes
  • Shocks
  • Exhaust
  • Air Bags
  • Alignment
  • Safety Inspections
  • Dent Removal
  • Additional Keys or remotes
  • Paint Repair
  • Cleaning and detailing

6 th. After completing the above process the appraiser has the national fair market value for your vehicle. He or she then reviews current buy/sell reports from the dealership, as well as market and regional auction reports and places a local market value on the vehicle.

If you are in the dealership for your free appraisal, please tell your sales consultant or appraiser everything you have done or that needs to be done to your vehicle, as well as equipment you may intend to keep from the vehicle; i.e., grill guard, DVD player or wheels, so that we can provide you with an accurate value. It is also important to have your maintenance records available along with any extended warranty policies, both of which add value to your vehicle.

If you are using the virtual appraisal evaluation form please provide as much information as possible, along with your phone number and email address so we can contact you if we have questions.

Virtual bids are only an estimate, because until we drive and inspect your vehicle our appraisal process will be incomplete. However if we give you a bid at our appraisal zone it will be a firm bid and will be good for 7 days or 150 miles.
